Consumers believe that states and the CDC have improved public health the most.
Regardless of party affiliation, consumers believe that state and local governments as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has had the greatest positive effect on public health measures, compared to Congress and the President.
Approximately half of the respondents believe that the CDC and state and local governments each have made a positive impact on public health, while 15% of the respondents say the same for the Trump administration.
The CDC, in particular, enjoys support across the political spectrum: 54% of Democrats, 50% of Republicans, and 41% of Independents thought the agency has had a "mild" or "significant" positive impact.
However, views on the Trump administration are polarized; many Republicans believe that the Trump administration has improved public health, but Democrats and Independents disagree. Half of Republican respondents believe that the Trump administration has a Mild or Significant Positive impact, while 3% Democrats and 14% of Independents share that view.
