Returning to the Office & Future of Remote Work

As more companies are eager to reopen the workplace, our latest survey results reveal that most Americans would prefer to continue working remotely. We found that 69% percent of respondents said they would prefer to work remotely five days per week, with only 13% of respondents would like to work from home 2 days a week or less.

Our latest results reveal that 29% of respondents indicated they would not feel comfortable returning to work (‘not so comfortable’ or ‘not at all comfortable’). According to respondents, the top concerns about returning to the workplace are potential exposure to COVID-19 and less flexibility to work from home.

Results are based on surveys of 300 respondents from October 2, 2021, through October 5, 2021. All surveys were conducted online by respondents in the United States.
